About us
The Henry Moore Foundation was founded by the artist and his family in 1977 to encourage public appreciation of the visual arts.
Today we support innovative sculpture projects, devise an imaginative programme of exhibitions and research worldwide, and preserve the legacy of Moore himself: one of the great sculptors of the 20th century, who did so much to bring the art form to a wider audience.
Our venues
Henry Moore Institute, Leeds
Experience, study and enjoy sculpture from around the world in the centre of Leeds. Visit for a varied programme of free exhibitions and events, as well as our invaluable sculpture research library and archive of sculptors’ papers.
Staff based at the Institute focus on the wider fields of contemporary, historical and international sculpture.

Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, Hertfordshire
The site of Henry Moore’s family home and estate in rural Hertfordshire. Across our gardens and fields we display Moore’s monumental sculptures, preserve his former studios spaces, and maintain the Henry Moore Archive.
From here, our Collections & Exhibitions team curate and preserve Moore’s legacy, and devise imaginative exhibitions of Moore’s work around the world.

From visitor-facing positions and exhibition guides, to careers in curation and conservation, we offer a wide range of roles at our inspiring venues in Hertfordshire and Leeds.

Supporting sculpture
A registered charity, no. 271370, we award grants to arts organisations around the world, with a mission to bring great sculpture to as many people as possible.
Grants & fellowships
Henry Moore Grants support the growth and development of sculpture across historical, modern and contemporary registers, and funds research that expands the appreciation of sculpture.
We welcome applications for support of exhibitions, exhibition catalogues, commissions, conferences, research, publications and the development of collections through acquisitions, conservation, cataloguing and display.
Yorkshire Sculpture International
Four leading galleries and hundreds of original artworks to discover in the heart of Yorkshire.
An ongoing, unique collaboration between us, Leeds Art Gallery, The Hepworth Wakefield & Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
Henry Moore Sculpture Trust
The Henry Moore Sculpture Trust was the public face of the Foundation from 1988 until 1999, when it was amalgamated with the Foundation.
During this time, the Trust regularly worked with contemporary artists at the Henry Moore Studio in Dean Clough, Halifax.
