Henry Moore Studios & Gardens in Hertfordshire is currently closed for winter, reopening in April 2025.

The Henry Moore Institute in Leeds is currently installing new exhibitions. The galleries will reopen from 22 November with The Traumatic Surreal. The library, archive and shop are open as normal.

Group visits 2025

We’re currently closed for winter, reopening in spring with a season celebrating the inspiring and transformative encounters between Henry Moore and the people, objects, and ideas in his orbit.

Our visitor season runs from Wednesday 16 April to Sunday 2 November 2025.

 

What you can see

We offer your group the chance to learn more about Henry Moore’s life, explore the landscape that inspired his work, and take a tour of the Moore’s family home.

Group itineraries

We offer a choice of two itineraries for pre-booked groups of 10 visitors or more.

All group visits include a guided tour of the sculpture gardens, studios, tapestries and current exhibition. Our discounted group tickets include day entry to Studios & Gardens, group tickets are not included in our annual ticket scheme.

Itinerary A

A shorter visit, ideal for groups who are travelling from further afield. This itinerary is available for groups of 10 to 40 visitors.

£17 per person

  • Start time: 11:30
  • Access to the sculpture gardens, studios and aisled barn for the duration of your visit
  • 90 minute guided tour of Henry Moore Studios & Gardens
  • Discounted ticket price (save £2.50 compared to standard entry tickets)

 

Itinerary B

A full day visit with the chance to see Hoglands, the Moore’s family home. This itinerary is available for groups of 10 to 24 visitors.

£23 per person

  • Start time: 10:45
  • Access to the sculpture gardens, studios, and aisled barn for the duration of your visit
  • 90 minute guided tour of Henry Moore Studios & Gardens
  • Discounted ticket price (save £2.50 compared to standard entry tickets)
  • Guided tour of Hoglands house

Each Hoglands tour can accommodate up to eight people. Larger groups will be split, with tour times staggered throughout your visit.

Food and drink

Café

Our on-site café offers a full range of teas, coffees and soft drinks alongside a menu of snacks, light lunches and sweet treats.

Picnics

If you prefer to bring your own refreshments, we have two outdoor picnic areas in the gardens with both tables and space to lay out picnic blankets.

Please note that our picnic areas are open to the elements. If you visit on a cold or wet day, we cannot guarantee an indoor space for your picnic.

For the enjoyment of all visitors, we ask that you don’t picnic in the sculpture gardens.

Getting here

We’re located just 27 miles north of London in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside.

We have free coach parking on site.
Due to the narrow lanes leading to our site, we have a coach length limit of 11 metres.
