Teacher CPD session
Art Social: Plant Dreaming
17:00–19:00
Leeds Art Gallery, UK
About this event
Art Socials are informal, sociable sessions for teachers and art educators of all kinds run by Leeds Art Gallery and Henry Moore Institute.
We aim to provide a space for teachers and educators to be creative, collaborative and experimental, giving you inspiration to take back into teaching settings.
At this art social we’ll start with a tour of Plant Dreaming, Leeds Art Gallery’s exhibition featuring large-scale textiles, ceramics, drawings, photography and film by seven artists who encourage us to think about different types of plant knowledge and how they relate to ecopolitics and the self.
Taking inspiration from the ceramics, textile design, prints, colouring sheet and jewellery made by Aliyah Hussain in the exhibition, the artist will support our explorations of how ideas can be transformed into objects that speculate, tell stories and share important messages.
Tickets
Art Socials are free, informal sessions for teachers and art educators of all kinds. They are run in partnership between Leeds Art Gallery and Henry Moore Institute.
