A young person sat at a table, only their hands visible, working on a creative project involving photos of sculpture, transparent sheeting and brightly coloured string.

Explore the intersection of sculpture history and global cultures in this free workshop, suitable for all ages and skill levels.

Delve into themes such as power, identity, and the representation of royalty, as presented in our current exhibition Sculpting Royalty: Hew Locke and Mary Thornycroft.

You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of creative techniques, including clay modelling, paper sculpture, and mixed media collage, while drawing upon the narratives of both Hew Locke and Mary Thornycroft’s works.

Free, no booking necessary

This event is free of charge and no booking is required, just drop in any time between 10:00–12:00 and 14:00–16:00
