Talk
Moore, Architecture and Public Space
17:00
Studios & Gardens, Hertfordshire

This evening discussion explores Moore’s collaborations with architects and his role in developing the symbiotic relationship between sculpture and architecture that helped change perceptions of public space in the built environment.
Henry Moore had creative relationships with many international architects throughout his career, from I.M. Pei to Sir Frederick Gibberd, and was frequently invited to make sculptures to accompany a new building or development.
Join Yesolmi Umolu (Independent Curator) and Ines Weizman (Director of PhD Architecture and Professor of History and Theory of Architecture at the School of Architecture, Royal College of Art, London) for this evening discussion, introduced and moderated by Laura Barlow (Senior Curator of Collections & Research, Henry Moore Studios & Gardens).
