Join us for this engaging one-day workshop exploring basic casting techniques.
Under the guidance of artist Aaron McPeake, you’ll create your own unique moulds and cast objects using various materials, including plaster and wax.
This workshop is designed particularly for families and children ages 8 to 16. We’re emphasising engaging with materials through senses beyond just sight, and warmly welcome blind and partially blind participants.

Tickets cost £10 (+ booking fee) for each child attending this workshop.
Concession tickets are available for £5 (+ booking fee) for students or anyone on low income.

Beyond the Visual: Blindness and Expanded Sculpture
Research Season
Autumn 2024 – Spring 2025
This Research Season explores engagements with contemporary sculpture using senses other than sight, challenging the dominance of sight in the making and appreciation of art.
Aiming to rethink the under-representation of blind and partially blind arts practitioners, we’ll investigate the relationship between artworks and audiences, the varied ways in which sculpture can be experienced, and what is gained from creative practices that emphasise a broader approach to sensory experience.
