Fully booked, waiting list open

Get experimental with Cella Collective, we’ll be squeezing houses for sculptures, moulding materials and upscaling our new nooks.
Using bones and stones as miniature sculptures, design and build your own space to display, celebrate and frame the natural artworks. You’ll squeeze and mould clay, sand and gravel from our site into bricks, columns, walls, stairs and openings. How do they expose, reveal, raise, hide, lower, or shelter the little sculptures in their new home?
Test and play with scale and size, we’ll use photography to make these small models appear as big as Henry Moore’s larger-than-life sculptures.
Suitable for families with children aged 5+. This is an intergenerational workshop – we encourage creativity in all ages!
This workshop is part of our Inspiration, Sculpture and Our Natural world season.

About Cella Collective
Cella is a collective of young makers exploring architecture, design, material research, and ecology through building, teaching, and writing. We engage with social issues through the lens of localism: materials, communities, and their landscapes.
Our field-based approach to architecture looks to learn from inclusive practices to collaboratively develop design proposals. We are interested in challenging existing systems, proposing alternatives, and mapping out architectural, ecological, material and educational changes which drive transformation from the bottom up.
Previous workshops have focused on material reuse and cycles: exploring the limits of cob, or more recently processing and extruding with London waste clay.
