Nature Wrapped: Artist Workshop with Ella McBride

Drop in any time between 10:30–12:30 and 13:30–15:30

Henry Moore Institute, Leeds

This event has passed

Join local artist Ella McBride for a tactile workshop creating sculpture through the playful wrapping and binding of natural wood with textiles.

Taking inspiration from Roger Ackling’s use of natural materials and his meditative process, artist Ella will guide you in creating an abstract sculpture to take home.

We’ll use wood and textiles in a calming, repetitive process, perfect for families to slow down and create together.

This workshop will provide a safe, fun, and creatively stimulating environment for you to explore the themes, materials and processes within our current exhibition through creative play. Although aimed at families, people of all ages are welcome

Free, no booking necessary

This event is free of charge and no booking is required, just drop in any time between 10:30–12:30 and 13:30–15:30.

Suitable for families with children aged 4+. This is an intergenerational workshop – we encourage creativity in all ages! Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop.
