A black and white photo, showing a stand of six slim birch trees against the sky.

Join the Henry Moore Archive team to explore the development of Henry and Irina’s Moore’s home, studios and the surrounding landscape over nearly half a century.

The archive team have pulled together material from our extensive archive to allow you to delve into several themes inspired by our 2024 season ‘Inspiration, Sculpture and Our Natural World.

Through photographs, letters, articles and Moore’s own writings you can discover how the artist was inspired by his surroundings: the colours, objects, wildlife, trees and shrubs, the skies, light and changing seasons.

Trace how Irina Moore transformed the landscape into an outdoor gallery and how Moore developed the site to enable the production of his works on a grand scale.

Open Archive sessions are included in your annual ticket.
