Family-friendly workshop
SculptED: What is Sculpture? Session for children educated outside of school
10:30–12:00
Leeds Art Gallery, UK
About this event
Henry Moore Institute and Leeds Art Gallery are collaborating to run SculptED, a pilot series of workshops which invite children educated outside of school to experience gallery-based learning.
These sessions are designed to be fun and engaging, with sculpture at their heart. We’ll engage critically with artworks by looking, thinking, asking questions and sharing opinions, then get hands-on with some 3D themed making activities.
We are able to offer the first three sessions for free, as part of our research and development of this offer. From September 2026 there will be a charge per session.
Why Join?
These workshops are more than art classes – they’re spaces for curiosity, creativity, and conversation. Gain new skills, meet like-minded peers, and explore how sculpture connects to the world around you.
Who Are They For?
Young people aged 5-12 who are currently educated outside of school and looking for an inspiring way to learn.
