Included in an annual ticket, drop-in no booking needed
Come and create with illustrator and designer Lizzie Lomax. Drop in to make shadow shapes, drawings and collages to take away.
Explore the limitless shapes shadows can cast. Using natural objects we’ll create 3-D mini models, and see what shapes we can find in their 2-D shadows.
Could a small stone or piece of wood look like something else? See what happens when we’re guided by their outlines to draw and collage new ideas, creatures or figures.
Henry Moore was obsessed with collecting natural objects to inspire the shapes that make up his artworks. We look forward to seeing what shapes inspire your very own piece of art on the day!
Recommended for children aged 3+ and their families, we encourage intergenerational activity. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
This event is part of our Inspiration, Sculpture and Our Natural World season
