About this event

Join us over the summer holidays to take part in creating ‘A Family Figure’, inspired by Henry Moore’s own works on site.

This series of sessions over the holidays will help grow a giant collaborative sculpture. When it’s finished, we’ll display it in the grounds alongside Moore’s monumental bronze works.

After taking part in the on-site making challenge, we’ll give you a small bag of recycled materials to take home, with instructions on how to make your own small sculpture.

Making sessions dates

Join us on the following dates to contribute to the giant collaborative sculpture:

Thursday 24 July
Thursday 31 July
Thursday 7 August
Wednesday 20 August
Thursday 21 August
Wednesday 27 August
Thursday 28 August

The making sessions run in the morning, 11:00–13:00, and again in the afternoon, 13:30–15:00.

Celebrate the finished sculpture

Come back on Saturday 6 September to celebrate the finished collaborate sculpture with us. Pose your home-made figure inside the larger sculpture for a great photo op, just like Moore’s Internal/External Form sculptures!
