Light Night event

Word Fishing

18:30–22:30

Henry Moore Institute, Leeds

For this year’s Light Night Leeds we’re shining a light on the artwork on the façade of the Institute.

Word Fishing reimagines the iconic granite front of the Henry Moore Institute as though looking down through water and time, with layers of aquatic life evoking layers of language.

Listen to poet Anthony (Vahni) Capildeo read their specially commissioned poem, as Molly Fairhurst’s beautiful illustrations are brought to life on the illuminated façade of the building.

Word Fishing is part of our current exhibition, The Weight of Words. Come back to experience the full exhibition between 10:00–17:00, Tuesday to Sunday until 26 November 2023, free entry.
