Henry Moore was not only a sculptor, but also a teacher who believed in learning through making.

Sculpture workshops

Henry Moore is best known for his monumental sculptures, but did you know he also made thousands of drawings during his career?

From early sketches of people and animals to wartime artworks made during World War II, Moore drew almost every day to see the world more intensely, experiment with materials and understand form.

Learning studios

Opening in spring, our new engagement spaces in Sheep Field Barn will allow you to experiment with materials and sculptural techniques inspired by the art and life of Henry Moore.

Accessibility

We aim to make our exhibitions, workshops and activities accessible to everyone.

We can offer relaxed visits and audio-described touch tours outside of opening hours for groups with additional needs. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss your visit.

British Sign Language video tour

Watch a BSL tour of some of the highlights at Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, led by Deaf Art Facilitator, Martin Glover.

This short tour introduces Moore’s house, Hoglands and the sculptor himself, before visiting the Maquette Studio, The Arch and Large Reclining Figure. The film also includes practical information about accessibility and how to visit.
