Local Legends: Gargoyle Casting with Liv Preston

10:30–12:30 & 13:30–15:30

The Studio

Henry Moore Institute, Leeds

A family working together to make plaster casts of objects.

About this event

Take inspiration from Phantasmagoria, local legends and historic landmarks, with the guidance of artist Liv Preston to create your very own gargoyle.

In this hands-on family workshop, you’ll sculpt and cast a unique gargoyle head, bringing mythical creatures and local stories to life in 3D.

Perfect for curious creators of all ages! Come discover the monsters, myths and the intricate processes of casting, then take home a legendary gargoyle of your own.
