A young child smiling at the camera while covered in a selection of large, soft, shapes.

This playful family workshop explores sensory approaches to sculpture, taking inspiration from Moore’s fascination with the hand and the empty spaces within his artworks.

As part of our summer series celebrating the theme of Vitality: The Human Landscapes of Henry Moore, Leap Then Look will be holding Sensory/Sculpting workshops for families with children age 5+. For all of our family activities, we encourage intergenerational learning.

You will be guided through a series of open-ended experimental activities. Use your sense of touch to work blindfolded with terracotta clay, fit your bodies into wearable sculptures, and find new ways to look at the landscape all around us.
