About this event

An introduction to sculpture for our tiniest visitors and their grown-ups.

Join us for a relaxed tour of the galleries to explore our new exhibition Sagarika Sundaram: Reservoir, then head upstairs to our Studio for a sensory play session.

Sagarika Sundaram creates monumental sculptures using felted wool. This exhibition features entirely new work created in Kutch, India which include seven-metre-long Blue Mountain, and a floor-to-ceiling, shell-like spiral, Dancer, which gently spins. Upstairs in our Studio, the babies will explore a sensory space filled with fuzzy, tactile materials which connect to the artworks.

We hope that these free sessions provide a chance for parents and grandparents to socialise and explore and discuss our exhibitions, while also providing enriching, playful experiences for babies.
